Who we are:

www.balloon-shop-southgate.co.uk is a web site owned by “THE LONDON BALLOON SHOP LIMITED” trading as “The Balloon Shop”. The Owner “THE LONDON BALLOON SHOP LIMITED” will now be referred to as the following (“we”/”us”).

These terms and conditions apply to all and any use of our web site.

Intellectual Property Rights:

We do not give you any right or interest in copyright or other intellectual property rights in the text, images, photographs, tables, compilations or other works featured on our web site. You are not allowed to copy any part of our web site without our permission.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in all software and content of the web site is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, modified, adapted or distributed without our permission.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the products featured on the web site are owned by us or by third party retailers. When you purchase a product from our web site you become the owner of that product but will not be allowed to copy or reproduce the items purchased.

Our name, our web site and our logos are our trade names and/or trade marks and may not be used by anyone without our permission.

We do not make any warranty or representation in respect of any other trade of the brands featured on our website and belong to their respective third party owners. You are not allowed to use or reproduce any third party trade marks without permission from their rightful owners.

Price and Delivery:

The prices of our products exclude delivery, packaging and insurance, which you may choose to be added to your total bill.

Please order your products with enough lead-time in order to prevent loss or disappointment resulting from late delivery as we cannot be responsible for ensuring adherence to the estimated delivery times.

When delivery is made by our staff any delivery time we give is approximate only and although we will not guarantee or be liable for late delivery for the estimated time a delivery takes place, we will guarantee the day of delivery.

Force Majeure:

If we are prevented or delayed from performing any of our obligations due to any circumstances beyond our reasonable control we may, without liability and at our discretion, suspend or terminate performance, or allocate available products during the period we are affected by such circumstances.

Making a purchase:

When you order a product from our web site or store you are offering to buy it for the price stated, subject to these terms and conditions. We will inform you by email or telephone after checking availability of the requested product. Should we need to exchange an item due to stock availability this will be done at our discretion.

We will try to keep our web site as up to date as possible but cannot guarantee that any particular product is always available even when featured on the web site. If we cannot supply the requested product you will not be charged and we will refund or re-credit your account with any amount that we might have debited. We will also offer a replacement product which you may choose to purchase.

We may cancel any sale and not supply the product ordered when it is reasonable to do so. We may change or discontinue the availability of any product at any time at our sole discretion.


We allow orders to be processed online or over the telephone, using a credit or debit card. The payments you make to us will be via PayPal or a terminal which are on a secure system. Sometimes we may accept cash as payment but the acceptance of such payment is always at our sole discretion. Your credit card company may do an additional security check to confirm it is you who is making the purchase.

All orders and invoices will be sent to the shipping or delivery address. Should you wish to print out a copy of your invoice please login to your account and do so. All information that you supply to us whilst placing an order via the web site is encrypted prior to transmission to protect your details and your privacy. We may use a third party to process the payment on our behalf.


We endeavour to package products as well as possible to ensure that the products arrive undamaged. If a product, in the unfortunate situation, arrives damaged or has defects, we will replace it whenever possible free of charge or alternatively provide you full refund if you return the product to us. We will try to attend to all returns as soon as possible. When returning products you are liable for the return postage.

Our policy is to ensure that you are satisfied every time you place an order on our website. If you are unhappy with a product when you receive it please return items in their original condition, products unopened, to obtain a refund on the products ordered they must be returned within seven working days of the receipt. You do not have to give a reason when returning a product. We will refund your method of payment after we have inspected the returned product and are satisfied that the product in question has been returned in the condition it was in when delivered to you. We do not refund postage costs and the cost for returning an items is your responsibility.

If purchasing balloons in-store or by telephone, please note that the following terms and conditions apply:

Once balloons leave the store they are no longer the responsibility of The London Balloon Shop. Due care and attention is required when handling balloons as they are of a delicate nature. Upon collection from the store you will be given care advice for your particular balloons.

If you suspect you have received a faulty balloon we request that you return the balloon to store for an inspection to be carried out as soon as possible. Please note that latex balloons are exempt from our returns policy as they are not deemed faulty after the first 2 minutes of inflation. If upon inspection a balloon is found to present a manufacturing fault then you will be entitled to a free of charge replacement, credit note or refund. If accidental damage is determined as the cause of deflation then no replacement, credit note or refund will be offered.

Please note that due to demand for our personalised balloon service, orders for photo balloons and/or vinyl personalisation are often processed on the same day that your payment is processed to guarantee that we meet your order deadline.

Any amendments that you wish to be made to your order after the time of print which require a reprint will be charged for in full. This includes:
– Change of text colour
– Change of font
– Change of wording
– Change of image

If you wish to reduce the quantity of any personalised items, you will only be eligible for a refund or exchange on the value of your inflation/balloon cost, and not the cost of the personalisation provided the balloons have not yet been inflated.

All personalised goods are exempt from refunds. We cannot accept refunds for goods which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or goods which deteriorate or expire rapidly which includes items such as: plates, cups, straws and other products which are packed in a sealable material such as polybags for hygiene reasons. Should the seal be broken for any of the above products you will be unable to return the goods.

All fancy dress items purchased in store are non-refundable.

Any online fancy dress purchases are subject to the following:

– Items must be returned unused, with all original packing material within 14 working days of purchase

– Items must be unused and in a saleable condition

– Items such as wigs, makeup, teeth, hosiery or underwear must be returned unopened and unused with the tamper seals in place where tamper seals are provided

A copy of the delivery note or a copy of your email invoice must be included with the goods. Returned items must be sent in appropriate packaging.

We do not refund return shipping costs: it is your responsibility to return items to us; we recommend using a traceable service offering proof of delivery such as Royal Mail Signed for 1st Class. The London Balloon Shop Limited cannot be held responsible if anything is lost, stolen or damaged in transit.

Refunds will be made to the card that was used for the original purchase. Refunds are processed as soon as possible. Your bank/credit provider can take up to seven working days to credit your account after we have notified them of a refund.
