Sales and Customer Service Assistant Role

The Balloon Shop is currently looking for additional Sales Assistants with a high level of written and spoken English to look after our customers on a day to day basis. Our working hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday.

We aim to provide top quality service combined with a friendly approach and are looking for approachable, energetic and customer-focused team members to help us deliver great customer service.

Established 40 years ago, The Balloon Shop was one of the first of its kind in the UK, and was the first to provide the British public with hand personalised balloons.

Specialising in the sale of balloons and partyware, the store has a great capacity to help customers source all of their event and party items under one roof.

Key activities and responsibilities:

Customer acknowledgement when first entering the store and the provision of a level of service that customers value.

Serving customers from the till points, being responsible for cash handling and card payments. Taking customer orders for both on-the-spot collections and pre-orders (inflating balloons is an essential part of the role).

Assisting stock control and management within the store, including; accepting and checking new deliveries, re-stocking shelves, rotating stock, stock checking, ensuring that product availability in store is excellent at all times.

Providing guidance to customers on shop products, services and offers, including assisting shoppers to find items within the store.

Housekeeping on site, within the store, on the till area, in the back store ensuring the site is clean and tidy at all times.

Providing support and cover for holidays and sickness when required.
